I am not quite sure what all the changes were between the 2015 and 2016 Mazda CX-5 models, but I can tell you that it must have been fairly minimal as some trailer hitch receivers and wiring are pretty consistent between both model years.
The Curt Class III Trailer Hitch Receiver # C13315 that you referenced is a confirmed fit for both models and is an excellent choice in a trailer hitch. Even though the hitch is rated for 4,000 lbs Gross Towing Weight and has a 600 lbs Tongue Weight Capacity you will want to check your owner's manual for the weight capacities of your CX-5 as your lowest rated component will be your limiting factor.
Since you are looking into the T-One Wiring Harness # 118563 (which is also a fit for both the 2015 and 2016 models), I am guessing that you are looking into towing. In that case I also recommend checking out the helpful article that I attached about finding the correct ball mount. The Curt Ball Mount # C45230 is a good choice, but you will want to make sure that it has the correct Rise, 2-1/2 inches, or Drop, 3-3/4 inches, for your towing application.
To secure your ball mount to your receiver you will want to either use a Pin and Clip, part # C21500, or a Trailer Hitch Receiver Lock # e98880.
You will also need a hitch ball for towing. You can use either the 2 inch Curt # 40038, or the 2-5/16 Curt # C40007, depending on the size of your trailer coupler.
The # 18144 Mounting Bracket along with the # C57202 No-Drill Mount Bracket is an easy and effective way to keep your 4-Way wiring harness safe.
I have attached some demonstration and installation videos for you to review as well. Thank you, I think our video team does a great job as well.
