Solution for Allowing Torklift Tie Down TLF3006 To Install All the Way
Question:
2016 ford f250 superduty 6 3/4 bed I discovered that the adapter sleeves are not need and the receivers on both sides fit directly into the trailer hitch cross frame but will not fit completely into the trailer hitch. this causes the retainer clamps to be approximately half inch too short and I cannot secure receiver to the trailer hitch on either side. any ideas

For the install of the Torklift # TLF3006 the directions suggest using a hammer and chisel to remove the excess welding flash inside the ends of the factory hitch to allow the tie down to fully seat. We've heard that a dremel actually makes the job a bit easier.
