Is a 7K Actuating Coupler Enough for a 1996 Chris Craft Concept 21 on EZ Loader Boat Trailer

I use a 2005 Jeep Grand Cherokee v8 4x4 to pull a 1996 Chris Craft concept 21 with the Volvo v8 engine on an easy loader dual axle trailer. Do I need a 6000 or 8000 pound actuator?

It looks like the weight of the 1996 Chris Craft Concept 21 by itself is 3,100 to 3,200 pounds. The trailer is probably not even half of that so you are looking at a gross weight of around 4,000 or 5,000 pounds which means the 7,000 pound actuator # DM72VR will work. You can determine the weight of the boat and trailer by taking it to a large truck scale to weigh then estimate the weight of gear and stuff loaded in the boat to get a good estimate of the gross weight when ready to tow.
