Installing Backflow Preventer And Water Pressure Regulator On Travel Trailer
Question:
Can you explain how to hookup plumbing for my travel trailer? I have a fresh water tank, city fill/ gravity box and outdoor shower. I will have a sink and faucet. I also have pump. Currently I dont have a water heater so only the cold side will be active. Where do I place the backflow preventer, and pressure regulator in the system? Thank you for your help in advance

Expert Reply:
A backflow preventer like # CAM23402 is installed between the city water connection and your fresh water tank to prevent the city water connection from overfilling your fresh water tank and worst case from contaminating your fresh water. The water pressure regulator like # CAM40064 should be used in line with on the opposite side of the city water connection so you can adjust pressure for your trailer whether using your tank or the city water connection.
