Sway Control for 2006 Mercedes R500 Towing an R-Pod Trailer
Question:
I am towing an R-Pod with a Mercedes R500. I have a problem with trailer sway on downhill grades. I want to add a Curt anti-sway system to my setup. I do not have a weight distribution system, and it is not recommended in my case. My question is: Can I install the anti-sway device if I do not have a weight distribution system? I do not see how to install the 2nd ball needed for the anti-sway system. Thanks for your help.

The Curt Sway Control # 17200 is designed to be used with weight distribution systems. If you're not interested in a weight distribution system you can use the Reese Sway Control # 83660 with a bracket.
For the bracket use # RP26003 and for a Class III and larger hitch receiver or # RP26005 for Class II.
