Recommended D-ring Bumper Mounted Adapter For Tow Bars on 2017 Jeep Rubicon Unlimited
Question:
Okay Ive asked a couple questions and this will be my last. Im trying to exhaust all possible options for towing my 2017 Rubicon unlimited hard rock and believe that 1444-3 will be what I go with. My concern is ground clearance while off roading. My question is related to my steel bumper that has tow hooks attached. Could I attach a tow clevis for my tow bar? Ive seen bumpers on Jeeps that have them attached so I wondered if I could attach mine to the stock bumper. Of course my number one concern is safety so compromising that is not an option. Thanks!

With an off-road bumper, we do have mounts that attach to the shackle mounts on your bumper where the D-rings are attached. So you have that option as well as the # 1444-3 baseplates you mentioned.
For your 2017 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited Rubicon, I recommend the Adapter for Jeep D-Ring Bumper Mounts to Roadmaster Motor Home Mount Tow Bars - 1" Thick # RM-035-1 is what you want for 1 inch thick D-ring bumper mounts or the # RM-035 if you have 3/4 inch thick D-ring bumper mounts. I've attached a video to assist.
