The correct brake controller install harness for a 2012 Dodge Ram is the # 3021-P and would work well with a P3 part # 90195.
We have been told that either a sales person has to call Dodge corporate or a tech has to do it to remove that sales code from the trucks computer to turn off any dash codes for bypassing the factory controller.
The other method is to leave the wiring for the integrated brake controller alone on your 2012 Ram 3500 and run a separate blue wire from the aftermarket controller to the 7-Way and attach it to the 7 oclock position at the back of the 7-Way by removing the wire that is already there.
This would keep the wiring for the integrated controller intact so it should not throw that error code on the dash.
