What is the axle nut tightening procedure on a dexter 9000 lb axle?

Expert Reply:
To tighten the spindle nut on the end of your spindle, go ahead and put your Hub Assembly, like part # 8-288-3UC1, on your spindle. Tighten it down to about hand tight and then back it off about 1/4 of a turn. Backing it off helps to keep everything from tightening up on you and keeps it so that the spindle won't heat up too much from pressure.
