Are magnets polarity sensitive?

Brake magnets such as the Replacement Magnet Kit # AKBRKR-M12 on trailer electric brake assemblies are non-polarized.
When installing an electric brake assembly, like the Right Hand 12" # AKEBRK-7R-SA, either wire can be used for the brake signal and ground wire functions. For the Left Hand assembly you will use # AKEBRK-7L-SA.
