Question:

Do they recommend chains while plowing snow? If you do plow snow with them do you recommend 2 or 4 tire chains? If 2 chains which ones, front or rear? Thank you

Most likely you would not need to use snow chains when you are plowing snow. The reason you would not need chains is because the plow will have removed the snow for your wheels and the chains would either become damaged or damage the surface you would be driving on.

If you had a very heavy snow and were trying to plow with a two wheel drive truck on a gravel road I could see the need for chains, or if you found yourself on some thick ice, but under normal circumstances I do not believe you would need chains. It may be beneficial to have a set in case you find yourself in one of these situations.

Having one set of chains on the rear of your truck would be adequate for you to get around if you were to find yourself in one of the above mentioned situations.

I have attached a link to an FAQ article on snow chains below that you might find informative also.
