What Additional Parts are Needed for the Thule Hitching Post Pro on a 2011 Toyota RAV4
Question:
Hello, I just purchased the Draw-Tite Class III Max Frame Receiver Hitch, # 75235. Im interested in purchasing the Toyota RAV4 Thule Hitching Post Pro - Folding Tilting 4 Bike Rack w Anti-Sway - 1-1/4inch and 2inch Hitches Code: TH934XTR. What accessories do I need with this bike rack? And what accessories are optional for this bike rack? Thank you for your consideration in this matter.

The Thule Hitching Post Pro # TH934XTR includes everything that you need to carry bikes on your 2011 Toyota RAV4. However, there are additional accessories you may be interested in to use with the bike rack.
If you're going to be carrying any alternative frame bikes, like a women's or children's bike, you may not have a good mounting location to hang the bikes from the rack. The bikes should be as level as possible when traveling to prevent them from moving and coming into contact with each other or your RAV4. An adapter, like the Kuat Ubar Bike Frame Adapter Bar # UB01 installs onto the bikes between the seat post and handlebar stem post and provides a great, level way to mount the bikes.
The Hitching Post Pro includes an anti-rattle hitch pin, which is great. However, if you want to lock the bike rack to your hitch receiver you can use the Thule Snug Tite Hitch Lock # THSTL2. This is also an anti-rattle hitch pin but it also locks using Thule's One Key System.
In addition to locking the rack to your vehicle you may want to consider locking your bikes to the rack. The Thule Cable Lock # TH538XT is a 6 foot long cable to keep your bikes from riding off on their own when you might be parked somewhere.
