Are Trailer Hub Assemblies Threaded to Accept Bearing Buddies
Question:
is this hub threaded so i can get a threaded bearing buddy that wont pop out easy or be stolen easily

Expert Reply:
The hub is not threaded. Bearing Buddies are meant to be driven in with a mallet or hammer, not screwed in. As long as the outside diameter of the bearing buddy corresponds with the inside diameter of the hub bore, the bearing buddy will fit very tightly and will not pop out. This is not to say that it cannot be stolen, but it would take several good whacks with a mallet to remove.
I have provided a link to our selection of Bearing Protectors that are appropriate to the hub you were looking at, part # AKIHUB-440-2-1K.
