Is there a T-One Wiring Harness without a Powered Converter Available for 2017 Honda Accord

Question:

Hi, Does anyone make a T-One trailer wiring harness for a 2017 Honda Accord Sedan that does not need the wire run to the front of the car? I always buy my hitches and wire connectors from e-Trailer but I did this on my 2014 Accord LED lights and it is not easy to connect that battery wire properly. Thanks.

Expert Reply:

For your 2017 Honda Accord Sedan a powered converter (the wire that needs to run to the front of your car to attach to the battery) is required for a vehicle wiring harness to work properly. This is simply because the rear taillights do not by themselves generate the necessary power to run to the back of the trailer and also provide power to the trailer's rear lights. For many cars, including the 2017 Honda Accord, power must instead be generated from the car's battery. This method of wiring will also safeguard the Honda Accord's wiring.

You can use the Curt Vehicle Wiring Harness # C56173 for your Honda Accord Hybrid. The installation instructions for this wiring harness have been attached.
