Should the Air Bag from Coil-Rite Air Helper # F4182 be the Same Length as the Vehicle Spring
Question:
I notice that the blue bags are much shorter than the springs are when fully extended as on a lift. Theyre close from what I can tell to the length of the spring under load, though Ill need to get a ruler out to measure both. Is this correct? The installation pictures give you the impression that the springs should be the same length as the extended springs. Thanks!

Expert Reply:
The compressed springs should be about the same length as the air bags of the Firestone Coil-Rite Air Helper Springs - Rear Kit, part # F4182.
If you look at figure B of the directions you can see a picture of how the length of the extended spring should be in relation to the blue bag.
If you look on the right of this page you can see a picture of that portion of the directions and see that the blue bag is supposed be shorter than the spring when the spring is extended.
