It looks from my research like you have 205/55R16 or 205/50R17 size tires on your 2012 Subaru Impreza WRX hatchback. The only alternative to chains I can recommend for your vehicle is the Titan Chain ISSE Hybrid Snow Socks - Size 62 - 1 Pair, # TCH62. The snow socks cover your tire to deliver traction when driving on snowy or icy roads. The fabric sticks to snow and ice creating friction to provide grip. Carbon steel rivets on fabric provide extra grip compared to standard snow socks. Elastic bands help to center sock and keep it on your tire. The soft material won't scratch or damage your rims or car.
For 245/35R17 tires, the ISSE Hybrid Snow Socks - Size 58 - 1 Pair, # TCH58, would be the correct fit.
