Trailer Hitch and Wiring for a 2002 Lexus ES 300
Question:
will a reese towpower 37042 hitch fit on a 2002 lexus es300
asked by: Dennis
Expert Reply:
The discontinued multi-fit trailer hitch 37042 does not fit the 2002 Lexus ES 300. For a custom fit hitch that will fit your Lexus you can use # 36336. This is a Class II hitch with a 1-1/4 inch receiver. It is rated for 300 pounds tongue weight and 3,500 pounds gross trailer weight but is limited to the capacity of the vehicle.
If you plan on doing any towing the recommended ball mount is # 36061. For a 1-7/8 inch ball use # 19257 and for a 2 inch ball use # 19258. And for trailer wiring you can use # 46255 to add a 4-Way flat connector to the rear of the vehicle.
