Recommended Trailer Hitch And Cargo Harrier For 2012 Lincoln MKZ

Will this cargo carrier fit on the back of 2012 Lincoln mkz and what type of hitch assembly should I get.

The trailer hitch I recommend for your MKZ is the Draw-Tite Sportframe Trailer Hitch Receiver, part # 24865. This is a Class l hitch and it has a 1-1/4 inch receiver opening. When using any accessories in the hitch you need to be concerned with clearance. The distance from the center of the hitch pin hole to the back of the rear bumper is 5-3/4 inches, so you need to have more clearance than that to make sure you are clear.
I recommend the Curt Cargo Carrier, part # C18110. This has themost distance from the center of the hitch pin hole to the carrier at 11-1/8 inches. The carrier measures 47-3/4 inches long and 19-11/16 inches wide. The side rails are 2-3/4 inches high and the carrier has a weight capcity of 300-lbs. The carrier itself weighs 30-lbs.
If you need a cargo net to secure the items you carry I recommend part # C18200.
You want to make sure you do not exceed the tongue weight of your vehicle or the trailer hitch. The hitch has a total tongue weight capacity of 200-lbs.
