Identifying Trailer Wire Colors and Troubleshooting Trailer Wiring Not Functioning
Question:
I bought a trailer light kit which has 1 yellow wire 1 green wire 1 yellow and brown wire and 1 green and brown wire I am using a 4way adapter to plug into a round plug on a Chevrolet truck lights not coming on trailer or signals either

I can help you identify the wire functions of the kit you have. The yellow wire is left turn/stop, the green is right turn/stop, the yellow and brown is left side running light circuit and the brown and green is right side running light circuit.
You didn't mention a white wire though which is a very important circuit. That is the ground circuit and without it being connected to a clean metal surface on the trailer frame none of the circuits will function.
