Recommended Trailer Hitch For 2002 Volkswagen Passat Wagon With 4Motion All Wheel Drive

I looked up a trailer hitch for my 2002 Passat. Mine is the all wheel drive one and the trailer hitch says it will work for anything but mine. Do you have a hitch that will work for the 2002 Volkswagen Passat 4motion 6 cylinder?

If you do not have the W8 engine, which is a 4.0-litre on your Passat with 4Motion, the trailer hitch that will work for you is the Curt Trailer Hitch, part # C11076. This is a Class l hitch and it has a 1-1/4 inch receiver opening.

Per Curt all non-trailer loads - bike racks, cargo carriers and so forth - should be supported with stabilizing straps like part # 18050. Failure to properly support these loads will void your hitch warranty from Curt.

If this hitch works for your Passat and you want to do some light towing the ball mount I recommend is part # C45521. for a 1-7/8 inch hitch ball I recommend part # A-80 and for a 2-inch hitch ball I recommend part # A-82.

For a trailer wiring harness I recommend the Wiring Harness, part # C59496.

If you have the W8 engine in your Passat, we do not have a trailer hitch that will work for you.
