Compatibility of Bike Rack on a 2000 Trail Lite Bantam Camper without Mounting on Bumper

I am looking for a bike rack to put on a 2000 Trail Lite bantam camper. I have read that the bumper can not handle a bumper mounted rack. Are there any options that may work?

You have a few options if your 2000 Trail Lite Bantam Camper cannot handle a bumper mounting bike rack.

One option is to use a Ball-mount-mounted towing bike rack like the Curt Clamp-On 3 # C18013. This will allow you to carry up to 3 bikes using the ball mount you use to hook up your trailer to your vehicle. It does require a Class III hitch or greater and 3" of space along the ball mount's shank. I have linked the other bike racks that are similar in mounting style to this one for you to check out. For a hanging rack like this style you will want to use an adapter bar like # UB01 on any alternatively framed bikes, like many women's bikes are.

Another option would be to get a Bike Bunk trailer mounted bike rack carrier for A-Frame trailers like the Stromberg Carlson # CC-275. This bike receiver mount will accept any hitch-mounted 2 inch accessories just as long as the total weight does not exceed 100 pounds. A great bike rack for this setup is the Swagman # S64650.

A final option you may consider is a frame mounted hitch. The most versatile frame mount hitch is Curt # 13703. It fits box, I-beam, and C-channel frames.
