Replacement Hubs and Brake Assemblies for 2006 Haulmark Thrifty Hauler

Question:

I have a 2006 Haulmark Thrifty Hauler TH85X20WT2 enclosed trailer with less thatn 15k miles on it. The last guy to work on my brakes apparently ped the drum and must have deformed it enough that I have gone through a couple of tires down to the cords because the brake is grabbing in the same place on that wheel all the time. I figured I might as well replace the brake assemblies all around 4 units and now I will have to replace the drum for that position. Should I replace ALL the drums at the same time? And how do I know that I am picking the correct parts? My Dexter manual doesnt give me specifics. All I know is that its a 3.5k Torflex axle with the EZ-Lube. It takes 15inch tires with a wheel bolt pattern of 5 - 4 1/2. I already have in my cart the following items: Qty Product Total 2 23-469 - 10inch Nev-R-Adjust Electric Brake Assembly for 3.5K Axles - RH 2 23-468 - 10inch Nev-R-Adjust Electric Brake Assembly for 3.5K Axles - LH 2 BP10-220 - Adjuster Plugs for 7, 10, and 12inch Brake Assemblies - Qty 4 4 BIK-00 - Brake Mounting Hardware Kit for 7inch and 10inch Brake Assemblies 2 DW05744-5 - Deka Heat Shrink Butt Connector - 16-14 Gauge - Nylon Insulation - Blue - Qty 5 2 DW05745-5 - Deka Heat Shrink Butt Connector - 12-10 Gauge - Nylon Insulation - Yellow - Qty 5 Aside from the drum replacement, am I on the right track? Thanks,

Since we know you have a Dexter 3,500 lb axle on your trailer the Hub part # AKHD-545-35-EZ-K is going to fit and work well for you. I would go ahead and replace all of the hub drums now unless you are on a super tight budget. Having everything new on the trailer will give you added peace of mind.

The self adjusting brake assemblies part # 23-469 would be correct for the right hand side and then part # 23-468 for the left hand side would be correct as well. These components and the other ones you mentioned would be exactly what you would need.

I wish I could track down this information but unfortunately trailer manufacturers don't do the best job of making it available. Do you see any type of information plate/tag on the axle itself? This is typically where its capacity and size would be listed.
