Tire and Wheel Combinations Weight Capacity and Tire Pressure the Same as Trailer Tire # AM10295
Question:
Does a trailer tire wheel have a maximum tire pressure as a tire does?
asked by: Taz M
Expert Reply:
The # AM10295 tire was designed for an 8 lug wheel, but will also fit a 6 lug wheel. This will change the weight capacity of the tire and wheel combination to the lowest rated item in the setup, but the recommended tire pressure of the tire will remain the same. What you will want to do is to make sure that the valve stem used in the setup is a metal 100+psi valve stem like # AM20906.
The # AM32739 and the # AM32764 tire and wheel combinations will all have the maximum load of 3,640lbs at 95 psi. This is the same as the Karrier ST235/85R16 Radial Trailer Tire Load Range E # AM10295 tire you were looking at.
