Weight Distribution System Recommendation For 2015 ford F-250 Towing 2014 Keystone Passport Trailer
Question:
I have a 2015 Ford f250 4x4 crew cab, wanting to tow a 2014 Keystone Passport 2510RB. The GVRW is 4880, and tongue weight is 500. The length is just under 29. Is the C17500 ok for that, or do you recommend something else?

The most important thing you want to know when choosing a weight distribution system is the total tongue weight. That is the tongue weight of the fully loaded ready to tow trailer added to the weight of any cargo you place behind the rear axle of your tow vehicle. You want to choose a system where your total tongue weight falls near the middle of the tongue weight range of the system.
The Curt Weight Distribution System, part # C17500 you mentioned has a tongue weight range between 800 and 1000 lbs. If you find that your total tongue weight is within that range then the # C17500 system will work great for you. The adjustable shank and hitch ball are included with this hitch.
If you find your tongue weight falls a little below that range then I recommend a system like part # EQ37100ET. This system has a tongue weight capacity between 600 and 1000 lbs. It features 4-point sway control and includes the adjustable shank and a hitch ball also.
