Weight Distribution System with Sway Control Recommendation for 735 lbs of Tongue Weight
Question:
I just picked up my new camper, its overall length is 31foot 10inch with a GVW of 9500 lbs. and a hitch weight of 735 lbs.. I have a conventional weight distribution hitch that my Silverado pulls well, but the sway could really be improved. I was thinking of going to a 4 pt. style hitch because Ive heard great result with the sway control. What would you recommend?

Expert Reply:
For a trailer with a tongue weight of 735 lb I would recommend the Strait Line Weight Distribution part # RP66084 which has a tongue weight range that fits your trailer well but also because it has the only sway control on the market designed to fight sway before it starts. As far as sway control goes this is the nicest setup around.
For a 2 inch ball you would want part # A-90 and for a 2-5/16 inch ball # 19286.
