Weight Distribution Shank for Fastway e2 with More Drop and Longer Shank than Included Shank

Question:

I have this hitch: FA92-00-1000 When following the setup procedures, my ball height at the top of the ball is 22inch with the head on the lowest setting, but my tongue height on the trailer is 19inch when it is level. I need 3inch more drop. Id also like to have a longer shank than I have because my tailgate hits the power tongue jack I have barely. Can you recommend a shank that will be longer and give me the 3+inch of drop I need over the shank I have? Thank you.

I can certainly help you choose a weight distribution shank that will offer you more drop and stick out further from the trailer hitch receiver. Since the shank that comes with the Fastway e2 # FA92-00-1000 offers a 1-5/8 inch drop and you need an additional 3 inches of drop, I found 2 different weight distribution shanks that I recommend, as they offer approximately 5 inches of drop and will sit further away from your truck.

The Curt Weight Distribution Shank, 12 Inches Long # C17121 will work well with your weight distribution system and it measures 12 inches from the center of the hitch pin hole to the center of the adjustment holes. The shank included with your weight distribution system only measures 8 inches from the center of the pin hole to the center of the adjustment holes. The Curt # C17121 shank offers a 7 inch drop or a 10-1/2 inch rise when used with trunnion bar systems like your e2.

If you'd like the weight distribution system to sit even further away from your trailer hitch, the Curt Weight Distribution Shank, 14 Inches Long # C17122 measures 14 inches from the center of the hitch pin hole to the center of the adjustment holes.

These Curt shanks have the same hole diameter and spacing as the hitch head on your Fastway weight distribution system so the two will work well together.
