I have a 2006 Ford E-350 van. It has no factory trailer wiring. Im looking for the correct 7 pin wiring harness for this vehicle. I have a trailer brake controller electric brakes that Id like to re-use if I can. If I can get the correct harness from e-trailer Ill no doubt purchase both the wiring and the receiver hitch. Since you have no trailer wiring at all on your 2006 Ford E-350 you will need to start with a 4-way. For that you would want the # C56032 which is a confirmed fit for your van.
From there you would need to convert the 4-way to a 7-way so that you can install the brake controller. For that you will want the Brake Controller Install Kit and 7-Way Adapter part # ETBC7. I attached installation instructions and an install video for this product as well.
