Recommended Frame-Mount Trailer Hitch for Winnebago Motorhome

Question:

Need a class 4 hitch with frame to frame bolt spread of 31. It is for a winnebago. It looks just like one for a chevy but the normal chevy is 39inch bolt spread

We offer two adjustable-width frame-mount hitches for your Winnebago that has a 31-inch frame spread.

Curt 2-inch hitch # 13703 can be bolted or welded on a frame from 22- to 72-inches wide. It offers a 350-lb tongue weight capacity. This item fits on box frame, C-channel frame, or I-beam frame RVs. This is a Class III hitch; no class IV hitches are available in this universal-fit type.

For a higher-capacity option Curt offers hitch # C13701, also a 2-inch Class III type, that offers a higher 500-lb TW capacity. This too can be either bolted or welded on.

It is a good idea to check with the folks at Winnebago (using your RV's VIN) to confirm what tongue weight load the motorhome's frame can support.

The only way that you're going to be able to accomplish this is by using a Gen-Y adapter like part # 325-GH-304. This won't reduce your weight capacity and is okay to use with a tow dolly (unlike most of our other dual hitch adapters).
