Hardware Recommended to Install Optronics LED RV Interior Light RVILL34

Question:

Since the mounting hardware is not included withe lights do you have recommended hardware size/length etc for these lights? Also it was suggested in one of the reviews to use an insulator between the screw and the diode plate , is that neccasary? I would like to place these lights in a 8foot x 28foot enclosed snowmobile trailer,it currently has 4 similar lights 921bulbs with a single bulb in each as the RVILL34 and was wondering if you thought 4 replacements would be enough or should i be considering wiring in more? The 4 current lights i have now are mounted on the walls. Thanks in advance

Expert Reply:

If you replace existing trailer lights that use a single 921 bulb with the Optronics LED RV Interior Light # RVILL34 you will substantially increase the total light in the trailer and at the same time reduce your power consumption since LEDs are roughly 10-times more efficient than incandescent bulb lights.

Your hardware choice depends on the surface material. If the trailer interior material is plywood, use wood screws.

The mounting holes in the base measure 0.2-inches diameter. I checked this myself in the warehouse. The diode circuit boards will not contact the mounting hardware so long as you use the correct size.
