Curt or Tow Ready Trailer Wiring Harness Recommendation for a 2016 Subaru Forester
Question:
Hello, I have been doing research to purchase a wiring harness for my 2016 Subaru Forester 2.5i Premium vehicle. Most websites and even Curts website has the 56040 harness but your website suggests the 118467 harness. Why? The only thing I notice different is that it comes with a 10-amp fuse. As I will be making a purchase soon I wanted to ask why your website suggests the 118467 harness. Thank you very much for your help, have a great day!

For your 2016 Subaru Forester the Curt Harness part # C56040 and the Tow Ready part # 118467 have been confirmed as a fit. Basically these are the same thing made by two different companies. We tend to have better luck with the Tow Ready harnesses so I would recommend the # 118467 for your vehicle. I attached an install video for you to check out as well.
The Tow Ready also includes the fuse that is needed.
