Trailer Hitch Options for a 2007 Saab 9-3 Sport-Combi
Question:
Although there are separate part numbers for single and dual exhaust sport-combis, will the dual exhaust hitch C11140 work on both single and dual exhausts, whereas the single exhaust hitch C11415 will ONLY work on the single exhaust sport-combi?

The attachment points on the vehicle that the hitches use are different between the 2007 Saab 9-3 SportCombi models. If you wanted to use the hitch for dual exhaust models on a single exhaust model it can require some modification on the vehicle and the hitch warranty will be voided and it is the same if you used the hitch for the single exhaust on the dual exhaust model.
If you have single exhaust then the correct hitch is # C11415. If the vehicle has dual exhaust stay with hitch # C11140. I have linked the instructions for both hitches for you.
If you want to use the hitch for an accessory such as a bike rack or cargo carrier then you have to make sure the accessory is rated for use with a Class I trailer hitch. Also, with a bike rack, you are limited to 2 bikes maximum on a Class I hitch.
Curt also says you have to use stabilization strap # 18050 when using this hitch for any non-trailer load (such as a bike rack or cargo carrier) per their warranty requirements.
