Tongue Weight and Gross Trailer Weight Ratings for Class III Hitches for 2007 BMW X5

Im confused, what is the GTW and TW on this hitch without a weight distribution hitch? Specs: Receiver opening: 2inch x 2 Rating: Class III Maximum gross trailer weight: 6,000 lbs Maximum GTW when used with weight distribution: 6,000 lbs Maximum tongue weight: 600 lbs Maximum TW when used with weight distribution: 600 lbs

Draw-Tite Class III hitch # 75600 carries the same 600-lb tongue weight (TW) and 6000-lb gross trailer weight (GTW) ratings whether or not it is used with a weight distribution hitch. Curt hitch # 13077, another of the Class III hitches offered for your 2007 BMW X5, is not suitable for use with weight distribution systems. These hitches are designed for use with 2-inch Class III accessories.

If you intend to tow within the vehicle's rated capacity you will need a wiring harness # 119250KIT to operate the trailer lights and also a ball mount and hitch ball. We offer a handy kit # 989900 that includes 2 sizes of hitch ball, 2 ball mounts and a pin with clip, all together in a handy tote bag.
