It sounds like what you want to do is to pull a trailer with a 4-Flat with an RV that has a 6-Round. 6-round connectors are not too common on RVs, but more common on horse trailers. Double check to see if you actually have a 7-Way blade style connector. A lot of connectors look alike. I have included a link to a Trailer Wiring FAQ article that, in part, discusses the various style connectors starting about 1/4 of the way down the page.

To convert a 6-Round to a 4-Flat, you can use a simple plug in adapter like the Pollak 6 Pole to 4 Pole Connector Adapter, # PK12717. If you find that you do have a 7-Way blade style connector, you can also use a simple plug adapter like the Pollak 7 Pole to 4 Pole Connector Adapter, # PK12716.
