Carrying Bikes and Towing a Trailer at the Same Time with a 2014 Mitsubishi Outlander

Question:

I need about a 2 inch lift for a ball mount because my existing hitch receiver sits too low to tow my tent trailer level..... I have a Thule hitch bike rack. I want to use it, but there are no adapters out there that allow for a higher ball mount AND still use the hitch bike rack. Are there any options or combos at all that will allow me to tow my tent trailer and still use my Thule hitch bike rack? Otherwise....what do you suggest? Thanks.

I have a recommendation for you but like you said an adapter that allows for a rise in the shank and has a receiver for a bike rack is not available. What I recommend is to use an extra-long ball mount # BM20 in the rise position to be a 3/4-inch rise (the tongue weight of the trailer will pull it down some closer to level).

Then you can use a towing bike rack such as the # C18013. I have included links to video reviews of all of these products for you.
