Brake Controller Install Harness for a 2010 Dodge Ram to Install Prodigy P3 Brake Controller
Question:
I have a 2010 Dodge 1500 Laramie Crew with the 5.7l. Has the factory wiring for the trailer brake - 2 grey plugs which are used on the OEM factory brake regulator, but I wanted to purchase the Prodigy P3 and the adaptor only appears to use the larger of those two plugs.....why?

Expert Reply:
The Prodigy P3 part # 90195 only requires four wires to install to a vehicle. The connector that the install harness part # 3021-P wires to has all of the needed connections available. The factory controller can also display messages on the dash of your truck so that is most likely why it has more wiring connections.
I attached an install video for this controller and harness for you to check out as well.
