Transmission Cooler Recommendation for a 2013 Ford F-150 Ecoboost
Question:
I have an 2013 Ford F-150 4X4 crew cab with the 3.5 L Eco-Boost motor and 6 speed trans. It did not come with the tow package or the factory aux. trans cooler. I tow a small boat and trailer approx. 1000# most of the time and a small travel trailer once or twice a year that weights approx. 4900 #. If I install an aftermarket trans oil cooler will it void the factory warranty and what cooler would you recommend for the above vehicle.

Adding a supplemental transmission cooler would not void the warranty of your 2013 Ford F-150. If anything a Ford dealer would be glad you had one installed since it will make the transmission last longer which would help prevent a warranty claim on it.
The best way to pick out a cooler is to go with the biggest one that will fit in the available space in front of the radiator. The part # D13503 is a very popular option that would work well for you. It measures 11" Wide x 8-3/4" tall x 7/8" deep.
