Towing 5th Wheel Trailer w/2004 Ford F-350 with Gooseneck Hitch and 4 Wide-Spaced Holes Around Ball
Question:
Hi,I have a 2004 Ford F 350 Super Duty Dually Crew Cab 8 Feet Bed,it came with a hitch ball right in the middle of the bed and 4 squared pre drilled holes around the hitch ball with measurement dimensions of 41.5 inches side to side of the truck which is the red arrow side of the diagram illustrated here for the RP30867 and 24 inches back to front which is the blue arrow side of the diagram illustrated here also for the RP30867 which I presume are meant for the installation of the fifth wheel if and when the need arises. My concern now is that with the measurement that I have in my truck, the side to side can be adjusted with the numerous holes that comes with the railings but what I dont understand is whether the back to front of the fifth wheel will fit.I am thinking that by the time that the railings are installed, the 24 inches center of hole to center of hole will be reduced to the measurement that will eventually accommodate the fifth wheel legs.I am not sure,I am just thinking.I hope you will be able to help explain this issue.

It sounds like there used to be a Pull Rite hitch or some other brand hitch used in your 2004 Ford F-350. Even the Reese under bed mount is not that wide.
But, I have a solution for you that will NOT require installing a different hitch or install kit or removing the gooseneck ball. In fact, the gooseneck ball will have to stay. That is because I recommend the Anderson Ranch Hitch # AM3100. I have included a link to a video on this adapter for you.
