Question:
Do you know if the 13703 hitch will fit a Jayco Pinnacle 36 RETS? It has a I beam frame. Thanks

Helpful Expert Reply:
The hitch we recommend for trailers like your Jayco Pinnacle 36 RETS is the Curt Multi-Fit Hitch part # 13703. With this hitch you would be able to install the brackets on the inside of the I-beam and would have 6 bolts holding it in place providing a much larger mounting surface than the other hitch. To ensure its fitment you could measure, the distance from the bend in the mounting plates where it sits on the I-beam to the top of the cross tube is 3 inches. The distance from the back of the ball mount receiver to the front is 11 inches. the height of the mounting bracket from the bend where it mounts to the inside on the I-beam is 4-7/8 inches. I attached an image and install video for you to check out as well.
One thing you should note is that only RV or motorhome approved bike racks should be used at the rear of a trailer. The rougher ride at the rear of a trailer puts added strain on bike racks so you would need to use a bike rack rated for the rougher ride.
I attached a link to a page with all the approved bike racks that would work. The most popular option among customers is the Swagman Original # S64400 4-bike carrier.
Curt recommends the use of a stabilizer strap # 18050 when towing any non-trailer load. I have linked a video on this for your convenience.
