Tire Chain Recommendation for a 2014 Honda CR-V and 2015 Honda Odyssey with 225/65R17 Tires
Question:
I have a 2014 Honda CR-V SUV and 2015 Honda Odyssey mini-van. My 2014 Honda CR-Vs tire size is: 225 / 65 R 17 My Honda CR-V is All Wheels Drive. My Honda Odyssey is Front Wheels Drive. Please let me know if this is a good economy tire chains for both vehicle CR-V and Odyssey 1 What is the maximum speed allow on this Tire Chains or other more expensive tire chains? What happen when someone goes above the recommended speed limit of tire chains? 2 Would the Tire Cables last shorter or longer than Tire Chains? Which one usually provide smoother ride and better braking distance? 3 I need an average Tire Chains/Cables for both of my vehicles. I dont want to spend $200, $300, $400 just for Tire Chains. Something is economical, but high quality and easy installation/removal stopping distance and smooth ride will be nice too, but not too expensive. Please provide your recommendations. Thank you

Sounds like you have the same tire size on both of your vehicles which will allow you to use the same tire chains for either.
For what you described the Titan chains # TC1555 would be your best option. These are an easy to install set of chains that will give you great traction and won't break the bank. The cables are another economical option but they won't last nearly as long as the Titan chains.
For all chains and cables you would not want to exceed 30 to 35 miles per hour. Not only would this be dangerous consider the road conditions you would be in if you needed tire chains but going faster than that increases the likely hood of the chain coming loose and damaging the vehicle. The last thing you want is a chain going 40 miles per hour beating up the side of your vehicle.
