Are 2 or 4 Tire Chains Needed and is there a Speed Rating when Using Chains on a 2004 Nissan Sentra
Question:
I have a 2004 nissan sentra. I saw in youtube video that people put 2 snow chain on there tires. I just wonder if do we put only 2 or 4 snow chain on tires. Also, what the recommend speed to travel. Do the chain hurt the vehical if we speed more then we need too on the road.

When using tire chains they would need to go on the main drive wheels. On a front wheel drive car they go on the front wheels and there would not be much additional benefit to put them on the rear wheels.
But on a rear wheel drive vehicle they would go on the back wheels and having some on the front wheels would help with braking and steering. But for your 2004 Nissan Sentra the front tires are where you will put the chains.
Different chains have different speed ratings, and there are also recommended speeds indicated in most vehicle owners manuals as well as speeds specified by the DOT. Out of all 3 always go by the lowest speed rating. If chains are required then there is surely no need to be in any kind of hurry!
It looks like there are 3 possible stock tire sizes that could be on your Sentra. I have included a link to the main page for the tire chains that fit your Sentra. Select the tire size you have to see the available options. I have also included a link to our help article on tire chains for you.
