I am looking for a recommendation for a low profile snow cable for a 2014 BMW X5, 255 / 50R19.

The snow cables I recommend for your X5 are the Glacier Cable Snow Tire Chains, part # PW2029C.
These low profile cables will work great on the 19 inch tires you said you have on your BMW. These are made of hardened low-carbon steel rollers that are wrapped around wire cables and will work on front wheel or rear wheel drive vehicles.
I also recommend using rubber adjusters like part # PW99 to secure the chains and keep tension so you have a tight fit.
