High Capacity Trailer Hitch Recommendation for 2005 Class C Jayco RV

Question:

I have a 2005 jayco e450 class c coach with a 5000lb bolt on hitch , if I give you the outside to outside frame measurements could you lead me to a heavier duty bolt on Thanks

I spoke to my contacts at Curt and Reese and the best option would be the # 41990 that has a 16k capacity. This is a weld on hitch that would require either the 7 inch drop brackets part # 4907 or the 16 inch brackets part # 4916 depending on the dimensions of your setup.

You should note that just because the hitch has a 16k capacity that does not mean you can tow 16k. You would need to determine the towing capacity of the RV and go by the lowest rated component.

This is a multi-fit hitch though that requires a somewhat custom install, but since you need a high capacity hitch it would be your best option.
