Troubleshooting Trailer 12 Volt Accessory Circuit Not Active on Vehicle

Question:

I see a 7.5 fuse missing that controls the back up lights can that be the same fuse Im looking for 12 volt accessory circuit on 7-way.

The 12 volt accessory circuit of a vehicle's 7-way would have a larger amp rating than 7.5 amps. Typically the rating is 30 or 40 amps.

If the 7-way came on your vehicle from the factory there should be a fuse or relay labeled 12 volt accessory trailer.

If the 7-way was installed aftermarket then it is possible that the circuit wasn't completed. You would need to run the wire from the 1:00 pin of the 7-way through a 40 amp breaker like part # 9510 to the positive post of your battery.
