How to Flat Tow a 2002 Jeep Wrangler with Double Tube Front Bumper
Question:
What type of tow bar do I need to tow a 2002 Jeep Wrangler with a Front Double Tube Bumper?

For your 2002 Jeep Wrangler with a double tube front bumper you want the Demco Base Plate kit part # DM9517046. This will work great with the Demco Commander tow bar # DM9511012.
For lighting you can use the bulb and socket kit, # RM-155, and not have to worry about cutting and splicing into the vehicle wiring. For a 7-way to 4-way umbilical you will also need the # 787196.
And finally, most states now require supplemental braking in the vehicle being flat towed. The easiest system to use is the Stay-IN-Play DUO # SM99251. It's a compete install that's a lot more involved than a portable system but once it's fully installed in the Jeep you just need to flip a switch when you're ready to tow.
Most likely you will also need a high low adapter so that the tow bar will be level when you are flat towing. I attached a link to a page that has all of the ones we carry.
I have included a couple of helpful links to our articles on flat towing for you. Be sure to consult the vehicle owners manual for more specific information on flat towing your vehicle.
