Recommended Kuat Hitch Platform Bike Rack for Class II Hitch on 2015 Subaru Outback Wagon
Question:
My 2015 Outback had a 1 1/4 inch hitch. Which Kuat bike rack fits this protocol? Can you send me a parts number?

The 1-1/4-inch hitches offered for your 2015 Subaru Outback Wagon are rated as Class II types and with this hitch you can use one of the Kuat Class II-compatible bike carriers shown on the linked page. You can choose from hanging or platform style racks in 2- or 3-bike capacity.
If you hitch is an OEM type from Subaru you may need to use a Yakima carrier instead. These OEM hitches have their hitch pin hole placed very near the end of the receiver tube and some racks will not work. If you have an OEM hitch I suggest instead the Yakima HoldUp 2 Bike Rack # Y02445, which includes locks.
You'll want to take one quick measurement on the car before you select your rack. The linked article illustrates how to measure the amount of clearance needed at the back of the car for the rack to avoid contact with the bumper cover. We include the hitch-pin-hole to rack clearance spec for all of our bike racks to make it easy to choose a good fit.
When we installed Class II hitch # 36493 on your car we found there was 5-inches from the hitch pin hole to the rear edge of the bumper cover so this means you'd want a rack with 7-inches or more of clearance.
A great choice for your car is Kuat's NV 2 Bike Platform Rack # NV12G. This rack provides lots of clearance for the car (7-7/8-inches when folded up) and it includes excellent features like built-in locks for the rack itself and for your bikes, corrosion-free aluminum construction and a built-in bike repair stand. The linked video will illustrate this great rack's features and design.
The rack # N105 that you referenced will fit only 2-inches hitches.
