Does The Optronics Trailer Light Kit, # TL16RK, Come With A 5 Pole Plug
Question:
Does this kit come with a 5 prong plug? I have back up lights on my trailer and I need a 5 prong plug like I have now. It is very worn so I do not want to reuse it.

The Optronics Trailer Light Kit, # TL16RK, does not come with a 5 pole plug.
If you want to get a 5 pole plug on one end of the trailer light kit you can use the Draw-Tite 5-Flat Trailer End 48" Harness, # 20017, which has a 5 flat trailer connector on one end and pigtails on the other end.
You will need to remove the 4 pole trailer connector on the trailer light kit and using the Deka 16-14 Gauge Butt Connectors - 5 Pack, # 05731-5, connect the 5 pole plug from the # 20017 harness to the wires on the trailer light kit, color to color.
The extra blue wire on the 5 pole plug will splice into the reverse light circuit behind one of the vehicle taillights to give you backup lights on the trailer.
