Recommended 4-on-4 Hubs for Boat Trailer That Uses L44643 Bearings
Question:
I recently took an axel off of an older boat trailer. The spindle needed to be replaced so I took it to a welder and had him replace the spindles for me. He told me that the spindles I had on there fit a 3/4 inch nut and that they dont make spindles for that size anymore. He replaced them with a spindle that has a 1inch nut. So my question is that i need to know what size hub i need for the new spindles? The spindles are to fit bearings L44643. Im just not sure what hub i need for this spindle. The tires have 4 holes on the rims so i need a hub thats 4-4.

You can select new 4-on-4 trailer hubs by using the bearings numbers you have. Matching the bearings ensures a correct fit. For a hub that uses two L44643 bearings we offer # AKIHUB-440-2-1K. This kit includes a 4-on-4 idler hub, inner and outer # L44643 bearings, a # 34823 grease seal, grease cap and lug nuts. This hub kit is intended for use on 2000-lb axles and wheels that are 10-, 12- or 13-inches in diameter.
