Bulldog Powered-Drive Trailer Jack LED Light On All The Time
Question:
Hello, I have a 500187 Bulldog Electric A-Frame Jack - Black Cover - 3,500 lbs unit installed on my travel trailer. Let me start off by saying the function of the jack is great and works as expected. However, I do have one issue that I just noticed this morning: The LED on the jack is on constantly albeit dimly even when the LED power switch on the jack is turned off. Is there any way I can fix this issue? I am worried about the LED on the jack running down my battery on my travel trailer when I am not connected to AC power or dont have my battery disconnected. Thanks

I spoke with my contact at Bulldog about the problem you are having with your Bulldog Powered-Drive Trailer Jack # BD500187. He said it is likely that the problem is with connection for the ground wires in the jack.
To check your ground connection, you will want to remove the screws holding the jack cap in place. Once you have the cap off, you will see a stud where the ground wires are attached. The nut securing the wires may need to be tightened down. My contact said that they have found that some of the nuts securing the ground wires on these jacks were not tightened down enough.
If this does not fix the issue, I will be happy to look into further troubleshooting steps for you.
