Can a Folding Cargo Carrier be Used on the Back of a Travel Trailer
Question:
I am looking for a folding cargo carrier that would work on the 2inch receiver at the back of my 24foot travel trailer. I would be putting camp chairs and other lightweight items in waterproof cargo bags while traveling. When the trip is over I like the folding feature when I take my travel trailer back to a local rv dealer for storage in between trips. Would this do well in the above application? Thanks in advance.

You can technically use a folding cargo carrier on the back of a travel trailer. But there is considerably more movement and bouncing at the back of a trailer, like riding in the back of a school bus. That movement will be applied to the cargo carrier and the point at which the carrier pivots up is an additional point of possible failure. So you will need to keep that in mind.
With that said etrailer carrier # e98874 is a folding carrier for 2 inch trailer hitches only so it is an option for you. What I recommend, to limit the movement of the carrier, is to use a stabilization strap, # 18050, to add additional support and limit the movement. I have linked a video showing an example of how it works.
