Which Way Do Slipper Springs Face on a Trailer

Question:

I removed the old C-hook springs on my tandem trailer while I wait for the 4 new ones to arrive. I should have taken a picture because now I forget how they were arranged. Do the eyes face the front of the trailer and the C-hooks the back? Or are both eyes connected to the equalizer EZ loader type? I.e. is it eye, hook, eye, hook or hook, eye, eye, hook? Maybe you have a pic or diagram? Thx

Helpful Expert Reply:

With slipper springs you will want the eyes of the spring facing the front of the trailer and the open end facing the back.

I attached a help article on slipper springs for you to check out as well.
