Battery in Swift Hitch Wireless Hitch Alignment Camera and Monitor System # 04928 Will Not Charge
Question:
I won a camera back in july. Just got it about week ago. And the camera only works if its plugged in. The battery will not charge. What do I do now? I really like it and want to use it but cant. If you can let me know what to do to fix this it would be great. Thanks.

Both the camera and the monitor in the Swift Hitch Wireless Hitch Alignment Camera and Monitor System # 04928 have internal rechargeable lithium-ion batteries. Both the camera and monitor units require an initial charge of 2 and 2-1/2 hours respectively.
It is possible that your charging cable is damaged. We offer a replacement 12V charging cable # PC01 that can charge both the camera and monitor at the same time.
If you have a circuit tester like # PTW2993 you can test your existing charger to see if it is working. Please refer to the video I linked for you. The cable has a green LED light to indicate incoming 12V DC power from your vehicle is reaching the plug, but it is possible that there is a problem in the cable downstream of the plug portion. If you see a green light on your charger and your tester indicates no power is reaching the connectors on the other end, then you know the charger is damaged and should be replaced with # PC01.
If your cable is okay, then you might have a bad battery. We do offer replacement batteries, part # PB02. Installation requires soldering the wire leads.
